Monjoie is the kennel name of John & Wendy Hutchison. We purchased our first Bichon in 1978, a lovely bitch called Sabby. Over the years we have bred and shown many Champions, and many Best In Show winners.
We both judge our breed, and over the years have judged Bichons in Australia, New Zealand, England, Norway, Sweden and Singapore. In addition to our own breed we both judge the Toy Group. Wendy also judges the Utility and Working Groups, and John judges the Hound Group.
OUR FIRST BICHON
Sabby (Ch. Azara Sabra) was a delightful, extremely typey, Bichon. Although many of the early Bichons throughout the world were a little low on leg compared with todays bichons, this was not so with Sabby. She was 10.5 inches tall and a beautifully balanced bitch. Classic head, good pigmentation and a delight to live with. She features in many of the pedigrees of our current day dogs. Sabby lived to the grand old age of 19 years, and is still with us in our rose garden.
